Half Ball Lens offer high transmission and low thermal expansion across the 200 nm to 2.2 μm wavelength range, making them ideal for demanding applications in the UV, visible, and near-infrared spectra. Ball lenses are commonly used to improve signal coupling between optical fibers, emitters, and detectors, as well as serving as objective lenses in endoscopy and barcode scanning systems. Hemispherical lenses simplify alignment and integration in optical setups.
