Plano-convex cylindrical lens is used to condense light in one axis. A positive plano cylindrical lens is able to create a line image from a point of light, to change the aspect ratio of an image or to focus collimated input light to a line. Plano- convex cylindrical lenses are typically used for illumination of slit and line detector arrays, laser projection, laser line focussing and anamorphic beam shaping.
Made from N-BK7 glass
Designed to collimate and circularize laser diode output
Anti-reflection coating optimized for 350 – 700 nm
Available focal lengths ranging from 3.91 mm to 1000.00 mm
Focal length tolerance: ±1%
At Hongsheng Optical, we offer a full range of stock and custom cylindrical lenses to meet all kinds of application needs. If you’re working on a tight timeline, we can also provide edge treatment for stock components to help speed up delivery.
All of our lenses can be coated with an anti-reflection (AR) layer for near-infrared (NIR) transmission, typically covering the 450–900 nm wavelength range — and if you need something different, custom coatings are available too.
Every single component is individually tested by our experienced technicians in our advanced metrology lab, making sure everything meets our strict quality standards.
Feel free to reach out to our multilingual technical sales team — whether you need custom drawings, samples, or just some expert advice. Discover how Hongsheng Optical’s high-quality cylindrical lenses and services can help take your instruments and supply chain performance to the next level.
